Client Story #1

This couple had a loving marriage for 37 years. He became terminally ill, and was quite concerned in the last few weeks of his life about exactly how his wife, sons and succeeding generations would be cared for. The direction in his estate documents was that beneficiaries would receive distributions as determined by the trustee based on the trustee’s evaluation of needs related to their, “health, maintenance, education and support.”

We helped him document his personal philosophies, write a Letter of Direction to Trustees that provided his specific thoughts on how each generation should be cared for (a “Personal Family Wealth Policy”TM), and facilitated intra-family communication regarding the entire process.

He expressed great peace of mind at completing this work just weeks before his death.
